Pre Trip Devotionals:

Day 1: Help Me to See (Document) (Audio) - Tips for the Day: Packing: (Clothes to paint in, leave being/throw way), work gloves, journal Bible,, Travel: (easy access to Passport, Travel Plan Document, Snacks and fluids) The trip leader will lead through customs navigations Honduras: Pray for your Hosts (Mario, Eduardo, Oscar and the Humuya Staff) and Your Trip leaders

Day2: A Way of Being (Document)(Audio) - Tips for the Day: You don’t want to much cash on you. Cash is only needed for souvenirs most places will take your credit/debit -make sure your credit card companies/bank know you are traveling. Check with your trip leader about customs paperwork for arrival and departure into the country. They will guided you through the process.

Day 3:A Way of Doing (Document)(Audio) Tips for the Day: What simple medicine might you want (allergies/Imodium/Ibuprofen or Tylenol etc. - You will be in and out of mountains - Drinking lots of water is key! Make sure you have a good water bottle but drink the right water (no faucet water, shower water) if unsure always ask! And no flushing TP in the toilets either. Put TP in the trash next to the toilet - we will explain more on the trip!

Day 4: A Way of Trusting: (Document)(Audio) Tips for the day: We recommend starting each day if you can with a short devotional and prayer time. In the evening find time to debrief and reflect as a group. You know your group and what setup/system would work best. For day packing as a group make sure you have water bottles, maybe a role of TP and some light medication/first aide.

Day 5: A Way of Growing (Document)(Audio) - Tips for the day: Never forget: Don’t measure success by what you build or do—impact often comes through conversations and presence. Go with humility—observe, listen, and seek to understand the local culture before jumping in to help. (Check over the packings list, and travel plan one for time, weigh your suitcase if you thinks its to heavy before you go. And get excited for what lies ahead! Oh and Keep that passport safe and handy as you travel! :)

  • “Come and See": We want you to see Jesus and the Holy Spirit at work in the ministries we partner with, to see their devotion, to see their faith and be inspired. See a new approach of doing. See abundance in the midst of scarcity. Psalms 66:5

  • “Come and Be” Be with each other, be present in the moment. Be with Hondurans. Listen, encouarge, laugh, cry, rest, serve, work, wait. There will be tension at times in this. Come and be the church in its fullness. Romans 12:15-16

  • Develop Contentment: Wrestle with all that you see as a group and discuss the challenge of Paul in Philippians 4:10-14
